Central Subway employees hired through the First Source program

All applicants seeking employment on the SFMTA’s Central Subway Project should first register at one of the One Stop Career Link Centers hosted by the Office of Economic and Workforce Development (OEWD). The OEWD facilitates recruitment for the SFMTA’s construction and professional services employment opportunities. Please review this list of contacts and One Stop Centers (PDF) for more information about locations near you.

Applicants interested in construction-related employment opportunities with the Central Subway Project will be directed to CityBuild (see below).

Applicants interested in professional services positions will be directed to the First Source Hiring Program (see below).

First Source Hiring

Under the First Source Hiring Program, entry-level trainee positions will be created and will continue through the duration of the project. However, all trainee positions will be hired for a 12-month period. We expect that this experience will train and prepare First Source Hire participants for future employment opportunities in the construction industry.
